Here are some of the places that really add to my enjoyment when I'm in Bangkok, this is a very hand selected personal list, I could've made it a huge typical one, but thats not what I want to share, these are the places I enjoy and hopefully want you to enjoy too.

Issaya Siamese club: located in a restored Thai home from the 1920's with beautiful interiors, issaya is one of the best experiences when it comes to fusion Thai food with molecular gastronomy Requires booking ahead. Go for Kaeq warn goong soup, the soft shell crab, fried whole fish (PLA KAPONG LUEY SUAN) and the "broken basket" for dessert which was inspired from a peasant dish.
The local: one of the best authentic experiences, you can book a traditional private room and experience really really traditional Thai dishes such as lotus flower starters, proper tom yums, and stews from all over Thailand. Requires booking ahead.
Saffron: located in banyan tree hotel, don't let the name fool you, its not Indian. Go for the crab papaya salad, crab curry, and grilled seabass. Requires booking ahead.

Indus: if you really miss Indian food, go for this restaurant, melt in your mouth dishes and don't forget to order the bamia chips, can't believe im saying this but it tastes better than French fries.
Zuma: we always stay at the st.regis in Bangkok so you can always enjoy amazing dishes at Zuma which I dont think I need to explain a lot about, really fresh ingredients with no fuss. Requires booking ahead.

Bake cheesecake: it can get crowded and a long line can develop, sometimes your only allowed to take two, bake is a Japanese brand that makes amazing cheesecake tartlets.
Vanilla Cafateria: beautiful interiors that make you swoon (seriously) with equally delicious food. Go for their coconut mango sticky rice stuffed crepe which is out of this world.
Greyhound: This place is good for everything, desserts, a light meal, and so on. (Their menus are also beautifully designed.)

ME By Mercedes benz : A pop up chocolate bar by Mercedes-Benz with an impressive drink menu such as chocolate soda, frozen hot chocoate, and so on.
Made with single origin chocolate and my favorite chocolate brand, varlhona. You can also buy chocolate bars from all over the world such as Mast brothers.

Caturday: if you love cats like me, Asia means cat cafes, this cafe is pretty sweet. Better than the ones in Korea and Japan in terms of space and location since it's a shop on a street, whereas the ones in Korea and Japan are usually in floors. The cats are too cute too! Visit on weekdays to avoid it being too crowded.
Finally, always visit the food quarters in every mall you visit, the fruits are gonna make you cry, everything is so F R E S H and D E L I C I O U S. Buy them whole and simply ask the hotel to prepare them for you.
