Anyways, what we are here for is this french toast! I'm really addicted to french toast these days, I'm actually contemplating opening a french toast place haha, maybe.
The french toast here has notes of matcha tea, honey, & citrusy raspberries. I think it works really well, AND its not drowning in sugar, which is something I love in tea based desserts.
The recipe is as follows & makes 2 servings:
-4 MINI milk bread toast (Make it or buy it, making is always better!)
-1/3 cup cream (I find that cream gives me a better coat)
-1 tsp dark brown sugar (Great sear)
-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
-1/4 tsp matcha (Sift it so it mixes well)
-Turkish Cream (I buy the turkish brand Pinar, which is really good.)
In a bowl whisk the cream, sugar, vanilla, egg, & matcha until well combined.
Smear the toast in both sides with the turkish cream, stuff with 4 raspberries & sandwich them well. Dip in the matcha toast batter & fry in butter until golden. Serve with honey, raspberries, and freshly sifted matcha. Yum!
