I haven't had sticky dates cakes for so long now, & I stumbled on so many pictures of them that I just had to make one. So boom there it was, and I always wanted to play around with the humble but glorious Lugeimat, a deep fried dough served in the GCC, drizzled generously with Date Molasses (& not so good for diabetics be aware!) and hence the idea pilled up into a sticky date lugeimat layer cake!
A sticky gooey & date fillled date cake, lathered with salted toffee sauce, & pilled with freshly fried & date molasses covered Lugeimat, sesame seeds & Pistachio.
