Now say it, Sabah el khair. Thats good morning in Arabic. :) It holds a slightly weird combination of sweet and sour ingredients that you might think wont work, but I think they do. It goes greatly as a breakfast or brunch dish.
Smoked salmon open sandwich with blow torched goat cheese, quail eggs, and honey:
-1 wholemeal slice of bread
-A slice of smoked salmon
-A tablespoon of crumbled goat cheese
-3 Quail eggs
-1/4 teaspoon Cumin
-Salt & pepper
Toast the piece of bread until well toasted, place the eggs in a small saucepan with boiling water for about 6-7 minutes. Meanwhile place the piece of toast on a plate, layer the salmon on top, the goat cheese. And then get a blowtorch and heat the goat cheese until slightly browned (Great flavor enhancer). Allow the eggs to cool a little, then peel and crack in half and place on top of sandwich, sprinkle the cumin, drizzle on some honey, and sprinkle the salt & pepper.
