Instead of the typical flavors that macarons range from these days such as pistachio, chocolate, and so on. I decided to take a different approach and made some funky macarons that go by the flavor of Pop rocks! I’ve seen Adriano Zumbo implement the flavor many times, and so does Heston Blumenthal in many other dishes other than macarons and well, my hands itched for it! I simply had to make some, so I looked for an efficient supplier of pop rocks everywhere online but to no avail, shipping problems kept popping up in everypage. So for now, I settled with the classic strawberry flavored pop rocks we use to eat as kids!
The popping sensation is just awesome! Who knew pop rocks would become the next “It” thing in the culinary world?
