So so so chocolaty

I couldn’t stop.

I seriously could not stop licking my fingers that were dipped in luscious chocolate.

How could such a substance taste so so good, evoke such warm emotions, and keep you wanting more and more.

When i cook with chocolate, my kitchen develops into a chocolatier, my hands begin operating in such a way that i doubt they are mine.

Each drop, drizzle, and plummet echoes a silent symphony within my ears.

Oh dear Chocolate.

Chocolate cake recipe:

-2 1/4 cups all purpose flour

-1/4 teaspoon salt

-2 tablespoons baking powder

-225g unsalted and softened butter

-1 3/4 cups of sugar

-1 teaspoon of vanilla

-4 eggs

-2 table spoons cocoa powder

-1 cup milk

-125g melted chocolate

I made two small cakes with this, but you can definitely make one big one.

begin by beating the butter and sugar together in the mixture, drizzle in the luscious vanilla, drop the eggs into the solution and keep mixing. Plummet all the dry ingredient into a bowl and mix until they are combined. Start tumbling the flour mixture into the mixer in turns, alternating between the flour and milk. Then dribble the melted chocolate into the batter and mix.

Butter the pans that are to be used, line the base with parchment paper, and gallop the mixture into the pans.

Bake for 1 hour or until cake tester comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

Caramel:

-75ml water

-200g caster sugar

-50 grams butter

-180ml cream

Mix water and sugar on low heat until dissolved then put up the heat. Use a wet brush to brush the sides and avoid sugar crystallization. Leave and do not stir and allow to reach a light caramel color. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and cream. Placing on top of a ice filled bowl to avoid any further cooking. Allow to cool to thicken then slice the cooled cake and fill with the caramel.

Chocolate Ganache:

-160g cream

-200g chocolate

Simply bring the cream to a boil then pour on top of the chocolate and mix until it resembles the right consistency of a ganache. Pour on top of the cake, pepper with chocolate shavings, gratings, or anything of your choice. And enjoy.

The second cake i made was simply dusted with icing sugar, then drizzled with caramel.

Ramadan Kareem everyone.
